An added plus is the very large foliage of this flower. Last year it looked like corn growing in the garden and the foliage towered over a tetraploid large flower growing next to it! The eye color is etched into the throat and is brushed very far onto the petals and sepals. This is very eye catching in the garden and in a show. The pod parent is Camphouse Belle, one of my mother's introductions which has consistently proven to be a great tetraploid. As I have said before, I am very selective of the tetraploids I introduce, as I believe they must not just be a pretty face, but also they should be an enduring garden plant with good growing habits.
